Nutrient-dense and high in protein, eggs seem to play an important role in most of the Asian cuisines. Who says one must equipped with advanced cooking skills to prepare a splendid meal? Here are three easiest and basic ways of cooking eggs for beginners!

1. Boiled eggs

Step 1. Carefully place eggs in a large saucepan.

Step 2. Fill a pot with enough water to cover your eggs by about one inch

Step 3. Cover pan with a lid and bring water to a rolling boil over high heat

Step 4. Set the timer for the desired time when the water has reached a boil

Step 5. Boil for 6 – 7 minutes over medium-high heat for perfect hard-boiled eggs

or Boil for 4 – 5 minutes over medium-high heat for perfect soft-boiled eggs

Step 6. For easy peeling, place the eggs immediately in an ice water bath for 2 3 minutes

Step 7. Peel the shells and enjoy the egg!

Boiled eggs breakfast

egg can add incredible savour and velvet texture to a bowl of Japanese Ramen. After
mastering the way of cooking boiled eggs, you can try to make soy sauce eggs by combining hard-boiled eggs with soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and ginger.

2. Scrambled eggs

Step 1. Crack 4 large free-range eggs into a bowl

Step 2. Add a pinch of sea salt and black pepper

Step 3. Beat the eggs together with a fork

Step 4. Put a small pan over a low heat and drop in a knob of butter

Step 5. Melt the butter slowly until it’s frothy

Step 6. Pour the beaten eggs into the pan

Step 7. Stir slowly using a wooden spoon or spatula, bringing in all the mixture from the
edges of the pan.

Step 8. Your eggs are ready when they look silky and slightly runny

Step 9. Lay it on a plate and finish with a sprinkling of black pepper!

Scrambled eggs on toast

Bonus: Spoon your scrambled eggs on top of a buttered-toast for a simple and fulfilling
breakfast. If you want to live things up, team up the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon,
pork sausage and mushrooms for a delicious all-day breakfast. Go more Asian by cooking
the traditional Chinese scrambled eggs by adding chopped garlic chives and little soy sauce to the beaten egg mixture before pouring it into the pan. Tasting great on its own, accompanied the classic comfort dish with a bowl of white rice can always create a luscious Chinese meal!

3. Sunny-side up eggs

Sunny Side Up Eggs

Step 1. Lightly coat the bottom of the pan with oil of your choice (about 1 Tablespoon)

Step 2. Crack the eggs gently into the pan to keep the yolks intact

Step 3. Cook until the tops of the whites are ALL set but the yolk is still runny

Step 4. Turn off the heat. Use a large, metal spatula to remove the eggs from the pan one at
a time and place on a serving plate.

Step 5. Sprinkle salt and pepper (fresh or dried herbs if desired). Serve right away and
enjoy!
