It's a wrap!

Over 60 submissions, 20 semi-finalists and 6 finalists and 1 winner… We were truly amazed by the quality of all our Junior Chefs.

You were a very active crowd and submitted over 4000 votes only for the first round of submissions and 2500+ for the finals. Congrats 🙂

All our Junior chefs took the challenge very seriously and came up with their best dishes at each round. 

YoRipe Junior Chef Winner: Jerald Lee

Jerald cooked 3 dishes during the finals:
– Pan Fried Red Snapper on pea Sprout paired with Orange Sauce
– Roasted Oyster Mushroom on Roasted Curly Kale
– Peach Smoothie

1st Runner Up: Osel

Osel cooked 4 dishes during the finals:
– Tomato Egg Fried Rice (using SongHe fragrant red rice)
– Deep Fried Abalone Mushroom Fritters w Raw Aragula Vegetables
– Mixed Spinach & Tomatoes w Runny egg in Baked Brinjal Boat
– Pear, Orange milk smoothie w Diced Prunes

2nd Runner Up: Amanda

Amanda cooked 3 dishes during the finals:
– Seared Barramundi with a Side of Brown Rice & Xiao Bai Chai Topped LKK oyster Sauce
– Torched Eggplant with Tomato Salsa Mix and Barramundi Chowder
– Blended HL Milk with Nectarines

Phase 1 - Nomination starts 6 Nov, Friday.

Open for kids between 5 – 13 years old.  Submit a picture of your kid’s cooking and a short introduction on this page, then share it with your network so they can vote for your kid to get into the semi-finals (+ receive a free apron!). Submission ended on 29 Nov, Friday, 10pm.     

Phase 2 - 20 nominations will be shortlisted based on voting and judges.

We received 60 amazing submissions. Results will be out on 1 Dec, Tuesday.

Phase 3 - Semi-finals, 5 & 6 Dec, 4pm - 5.30pm. 10 semi-finalists per day.

Each semi-finalist can have 5 cheerleading teams to support them while the cook off happens.  Voting starts the same evening and ends  7 Dec, Tues. On the same day, we will announce the 5 finalists. 

Phase 4 - Finals. 13 Dec, Sunday, 4pm-5.30pm.

5 finalists and their cheerleading teams will compete. Voting will start that evening and end on  15 Dec, Tuesday and top 3 winners will be announced on 21st  Dec, 7pm, Monday

Past Junior Master Chef & Baking Contests​

Terms and Conditions

  1. Open for kids 5 – 13 years old.
  2. Each participant can only enter the Competition once 
  3. Each household can have more than 1 child entering the competition 
  4. To participate, all entrants must upload a picture of a dish that they have cooked at home and post it with a description with the hashtag #yoripemasterchef via https://yoripe.com/sgcookathon2020-juniormasterchef
  5. Submission end on 29 November 2020, Sunday, 10pm
  6. During the cooking competition on 5, 6, 12 & 13 December 2020, parents can help with cutting and chopping of ingredients and handling of hot equipment and utensils. 
  7. Winning criteria for each round: voting (50%) and judges (50%) which makes up of presentation (50%), complexity of the dish (30%) and creativity (20%)
  8. Qualifying and/or winning entries will be posted on https://yoripe.com/sgcookathon2020-juniormasterchef on 1, 7 and 16 December 2020. All Winners will be tagged on YoRipe Winner announcement post on Facebook and Instagram. Each Winner will also be notified individually via WhatsApp, Facebook and/or Instagram private message.  
  9. Shortlisted Winners will be required to acknowledge receipt of the Private Message by providing the information requested in the Private Message (including but not limited to full name and address of the Winners, date of birth, mobile number, email address and delivery address) to the Promoter by no later than 14 days after the Private Message is sent, failing which his/her Prize will be forfeited automatically and the Promoter shall be free to deal with the Prize in any manner as it sees fit.
  10. The organiser reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to change the Prizes as it sees fit and deal with any unclaimed Prizes in any manner.
  11. The Winners shall, if required by the Organiser provides his/her original Identity Card / Passport for verification of proof of eligibility for receipt of the Prize.
  12. The Prizes will be dispatched to the relevant Winners within 30 days from the receipt of acknowledgement from the Winner 
  13. The Organiser’s decisions as to any matter relating to the Competition, including but not limited to any entry eligibility, the winning entry(ies) and the Winner(s), will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into about the Competition or the Organiser’s decisions.
